I specialize in showing how organizations can develop courageous leaders. Creating unique cultures of decentralized decision-making…crushing limiting beliefs & mediocrity along the way.

I was born and raised in Wichita, Kansas. I received my BS in Computer Science from Wichita State University in 1991. In 2007, the Wichita Business Journal awarded me the annual 40-Under-40 award.

I served 10 years of active duty as an Officer in the United States Marine Corps and 10 years part-time with the Kansas Air National Guard & Air Force Reserve. I have accumulated over 10,500 flight hours as Captain/Aircraft Commander in multiple types of aircraft in both military and commercial settings.

I spent 10 years in corporate roles, applying the leadership skills I learned in the United States Marine Corps to my jobs. My “inspirational talks” received high praise and motivated me to build an audience. I started spending my downtime creating personalized emails to my favorite leaders asking for an interview.

My podcast “Dose of Leadership” includes over 530 inspiring interviews with high-quality executives and personalities. Guests include Steve Forbes, Shark Tank’s Barbara Corcoran, FedEx CEO Fred Smith, Pittsburgh Steeler Coach Bill Cowher, & Matthew McConaughey, to name a few. The podcast has been downloaded over 3.5 million times in over 146 countries across the globe. It has been named by Fortune, Business Insider, & INC Magazine as a “Top-10 Business Podcast”.

The leadership skills I have learned can be applied to any industry. Today I focus my attention on Real Estate Investing. I look forward to continuing to mentor entrepreneurs to build talented work cultures and continue personal growth.
